Wearing your best colors enhances your appearance, boosts your confidence, and helps you make a positive impression. It can also simplify shopping, saving you time and money by eliminating guesswork.
2. How does virtual color analysis work?
After booking an appointment, you will receive a welcome letter with detailed instructions on how to submit your photos and other necessary information. Once we have received all of your materials, we'll begin your analysis. Within two weeks, we’ll schedule a Zoom meeting to go over your personalized color results and answer any questions. Swatch books and palette strips will be sent out after the appointment at no additional cost.
3. Is the Color Analysis process the same for everybody?
While the core process is similar, recommendations will be personalized based on your unique coloring, preferences, and lifestyle.
4. What should I expect during the Zoom consultation?
During the Zoom consultation, we'll discuss your color analysis results, including your seasonal color palette. We'll explain how to incorporate these colors into your wardrobe, makeup, and accessories. You'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions or seek advice on how to apply the results to your style.
5. What kind of photos do I need to submit for the virtual analysis?
To ensure accurate results, you’ll need to submit high-quality photos taken in natural light, without makeup, and with your hair off your face. We will provide specific guidelines in the welcome letter to help you capture the best images.
6. Can I do a color analysis if I’ve dyed my hair?
Yes! If you've dyed your hair, we can still perform a color analysis. We will take your current hair color into account, along with your natural features. If you plan to return to your natural hair color, let us know, and we can discuss how that might affect your results.
7. What if I don’t agree with my color palette?
Color analysis is both a science and an art, and sometimes it takes a little time to adjust to new ideas about your best colors. However, if you have concerns or questions about your results, we encourage you to discuss them with us during your consultation. Our goal is to help you feel confident and empowered by your color palette.
8. Can I purchase additional swatch books or palette strips later?
Yes, you can purchase additional swatch books or palette strips anytime after your consultation. These tools are a great way to keep your color palette handy when shopping or planning outfits.
Please note that during your initial consultation, the cost of your swatch books and palette strips is included in the session fee. However, if you lose, misplace, or have your materials stolen, you will need to repurchase those items. If this happens, simply reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to assist you with placing a new order.
9. How long will it take to receive my swatch book and palette strips after my Zoom Consultation?
Swatch books and palette strips are typically shipped 1-3 business days after your Zoom consultation. If your Zoom consultation is on Saturday, then your items will be shipped on Monday. Shipping times may vary depending on your location. My Authentic Colors is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. Please ensure that the shipping address provided is accurate. If an issue arises, we recommend contacting the carrier directly for assistance.
10. Is there a refund policy if I’m not satisfied with my analysis?
Due to the personalized nature of the color analysis, we do not offer refunds post-consultation. However, we’re committed to ensuring you're happy with your results, so please reach out if you have any concerns, and we can work together to address them.
11. Can I gift a color analysis session to someone else?
Absolutely! A color analysis session makes a thoughtful gift for anyone looking to enhance their style and confidence. Gift certificates are available for purchase on our website.
12. Are children allowed at my appointment?
To ensure the best possible experience and to maintain a professional environment, we request that clients attend their color analysis appointments without accompanying children. This allows us to dedicate our full attention to your session.
13. Are pets allowed at my appointment?
To maintain a professional and allergen-free environment, we kindly ask that no pets be brought into your appointment, except registered service animals.
14. Cancellation Policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time will incur a $50.00 cancellation fee.
15. Rescheduling Policy?
You may reschedule your appointment within a 24 hours notice, subject to availability. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment without prior notification (no call, no show), your appointment will be automatically rescheduled to a later date.
16. Covid-19 Policy?
At My Authentic Colors, the health and safety of our clients is our top priority. To ensure a safe and effective color analysis experience, we have implemented the following guidelines:
- Mask Policy: For in-person appointments, masks cannot be worn during the session as a full view of your face is essential for an accurate color analysis. If you prefer not to remove your mask, we offer the option of a virtual analysis, where you can enjoy the same personalized service from the comfort of your home.
- Health and Symptoms: If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment at your earliest convenience. Your health and the health of our community are of utmost importance.

18. I paid for my appointment before discovering that you offer discounts. Can I receive a refund for the difference?
Yes! We do offer refunds to clients who qualify for our discount offers. You will be refunded the difference back to your original method of payment.
19. "My friend/family member qualifies for your discounts but I don’t. Can I still use it?"
Unfortunately, no. Discount codes and special offers are only valid for the person they are specifically intended for. Each offer is designed to be used by the individual who qualifies based on the promotion's criteria. If you don’t meet the qualifications for the discount, you will not be able to apply it to your session.
20. What if my color analysis results change over time?
While your color palette is primarily based on your natural features, life changes like aging, hair color changes, or significant shifts in skin tone can affect your palette. If you feel your colors are no longer working for you, it might be time for a reassessment. We offer follow-up consultations to ensure your colors always reflect your best self.
21. Can I book a color analysis session for a group?

22. How long does a typical color analysis session last?
The initial consultation typically lasts about 2 to 2.5 hours. During this time, we’ll review your color analysis results, discuss how to integrate your best colors into your wardrobe and address any questions or concerns you may have.
23. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and other secure payment methods. All transactions are processed securely to ensure your information is protected. Please note that we do not accept cash or checks.
24. What is the difference between a swatch book and palette strips?
A swatch book is a comprehensive guide that includes fabric swatches of all the colors in your personalized palette, making it easy to compare them to clothing and accessories while shopping. Palette strips, on the other hand, are more compact and feature smaller color samples, ideal for on-the-go reference.
25. How do I care for my swatch book or palette strips?
To ensure your swatch book or palette strips remain in good condition, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, which can cause colors to fade. Handle them with clean hands to avoid transferring oils or dirt onto the fabric swatches.
26. What happens if My Authentic Colors does not have my materials (swatch wallet or palette strips) at the time of my appointment?
We always strive to keep plenty of stock on hand to ensure a smooth experience. However, in the rare event that these materials are unavailable at the time of your appointment, you will have two options:
Delivery to Your Home: If you prefer, we can have your materials delivered directly to your home at no extra charge. Please note that My Authentic Colors is not held liable or responsible for any lost or stolen items during shipping, and you are responsible for providing the correct shipping address when initially booking your consultation.
Notification for Studio Pickup: If you'd rather pick up the materials in person, we can notify you via email once they are available for pickup at the studio. Please make sure the email address you used when initially booking your consultation is correct.
